The Amigour Theater Club

The “Dream from Holon” Theater Club was established 11 years ago in Amigour’s Sheltered Home in Holon. They have produced many plays, including plays about the Holocaust. Fifteen performers meet once a week for rehearsals.

Meet some of the performers:
90 year old Paulina Ganosov is a Holocaust survivor from Leningrad and is the head actress . The play, “ The Sun Shines Upon Us” is a play that is based upon Paulina’s life.
Leonid Shafir was a child during the Holocaust in a ghetto in the Ukraine. His wife, Alexandra is also an actress in the theater club.
Dimitri Burman is a Holocaust survivor from the Ukraine. His wife, Yelena is also performs with Dimitri.
Paina Yagnitinski was one of the founding actresses of the theater and has been performing for 11 years.

Svetlana Ogan and Klavdia Koloskov from the Ukraine who were children during the Holocaust.

Through participation in the Amigour Theater Club, our residents strengthen their self-esteem, maximize their cognitive and communication skills and develop their creativity and expressiveness.
