Amigour's Museum

In the shelter of the Amigour sheltered housing facility in Ashkelon is a small museum.
Its founders, Shira Balata and Benjamin Shain z”l , realized the importance of establishing a museum that would not only preserve the personal stories and memories of the residents, but would also include a place to display the arts and crafts created by them.
For the 135 elderly in Amigour’s residential facility in Ashkelon, many of whom are Holocaust survivors, the museum is their pride and joy. The benefit of creating arts and crafts is fulfilling and gives our residents an extra sense of worth and contribution.

Shira welcomes visitors to come and experience the Amigour Museum.
